Six Everyday Beauty Hacks

Some of these beauty hacks work not just for women but for pretty much anyone. I’d discovered these, as I do most things, on Pinterest. Most beauty hacks are things like how to apply eyeliner easier or how to get rid of blackhead. Well I’m not going to include those. For eyeliner, more practice will allow you to have on point cat eyes. Removal of blackheads? Try Biore Charcoal pore strips (those are amazing and my favorite). Today I’m providing beauty hacks that can be used on your day to day basis.

6. Getting rid of dark circles with Coffee and coconut oil

So this trick is actually not new. Both coffee and coconut oil are used in a lot of beauty hacks together and separately. For this use, you would mix a tablespoon of coffee and a teaspoon of coconut oil and mix it together for an eye mask. Be sure to cleanse your face beforehand. You would leave this on for about fifteen minutes. For the last three or four minutes, massage the skin below your eye. When your done be sure to cleanse your face again. Coconut oil is great for nourishing your skin and moisturizing it. The coffee helps with the caffeine, it livens up the skin. Most eye creams have caffeine in them to “wake” up the skin.

5. Sparkling Water as a beauty treatment

So believe it or not, mineral and sparkling water for the skin has amazing benefits. It cleanses the pores of any dirt and impurities. For a while I used Evian mineral face spray, you can purchase this at any Ulta store. You use this prior to applying makeup and diminishes the look of your pores. For this use, take some unflavored natural sparkling water and fill a bowl with it. You will soak your face in the sparkling water for a couple minutes. Not all at once of course! Just be careful and allow your face to absorb the minerals.

4. Natural Teeth whitener using baking soda and lemon

Now I know what you’re thinking, lemon can’t be good for my teeth. Lemon is supposed to be acidic and erodes the enamel. Well yes this is true. But you will not leave the mixture on your teeth for more than a minute and will only use lemon essential oil and not lemon juice. Apply with a Q-tip to your teeth and then rinse.

3. Keeping Hairpins in place with Hairsprays.

So most of us know that whenever we use hair pins, a lot of the times they will fall out or not stay in place. This is frustrating because we are always adjusting and taking them out and putting them back in. And if you’re in theatre like I am then you know that hairpins are used a lot. So how can we help fight this? Believe it or not by spraying hairspray on the pin before using it. It creates a bit of a rougher surface (hairpins are smooth and even if they have ridges they still move) so they grip your hair a little better. Kind silly but simple right?

2. Plump up those lips using peppermint oil

Nowadays everyone wants to have fuller lips. There are simpler ways then doing something drastic and getting fillers. Especially since there are so many risks involved with doing so. Instead use peppermint oil. Mix coarse cinnamon, peppermint oil, and vaseline (so it becomes a kind of lip balm). Scrub your lips with a toothbrush to exfoliate and get rid of any dead skin. Then apply your mixture and you will notice plumper skin, it will probably tingle but taste pretty good too!

And finally probably my favorite this week!

Makeup remover in a mini mason jar

For those nights you’ve gotten home from work or school and get into your pj’s and climb into bed. But wait! You forgot to take of your makeup, oh no! Well this is something you can keep on your nightstand by your bedside and that way you won’t have to leave the comfort of your bed. Take a mini mason jar and fill it with water, coconut oil and baby wash (because it’s super gentle). Mix it together, you want enough that the cotton pads you’ll fill the jar with will soak up but stay moist enough to use. You should be able to use these for about a week before needing to make another batch.

Of course! I use WordPress and my hosting service is done through Siteground which to be honest has been a really great experience. I paid for a month to start out so I could try it and see if I liked it and I loved it so I paid for a full year. The support team is always really helpful and very kind which is something I look for in a company so I have a feeling I will probably stick with them. I hope this was helpful and I hope you come back to visit the site soon!!

Its such as you read my thoughts! You appear to grasp so much about this, such as you wrote the book
in it or something. I feel that you just could do with some p.c.
to force the message house a bit, but instead of
that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read.
    I will certainly be back.
